Kahuku Wind is building on Hawaii’s longstanding tradition of self-sufficiency, capturing the natural wind resource to provide a renewable and local energy solution. As proposed, Kahuku Wind would consist of 12 wind turbines that would produce 30 MW of clean power for the island, provide a variety of economic and environmental benefits to the area, and increase Hawaii’s energy independence.
The Kahuku Wind team is currently meeting with community members, organizations, and institutions to discuss the benefits of wind energy for the state of Hawaii and to the Kahuku community. We welcome your participation in this dialogue.
